Going to Work For A Client
A bit of background, I am currently a 3rd year analyst at a TMT group.
I've just finished working on a deal with a growth-stage client who I find very interesting. I've developed a good relationship with some of their senior management, and would absolutely love to move into a strategy & finance role there.
Any suggestions on how to start this dialogue? Is there a way to do this without it getting back to my MD? Does that even matter?
Feel like if you are going to do this you have to just be ready to send it.
Sounds like a risky proposition. I would make sure that I am willing to accept the worst case scenario before making any moves
Your MD is going to call you to his office and then play these lyrics:
There's some whores in this house
There's some whores in this house
There's some whores in this house
All bets are off. do what you want. tell your contact you really like their company and you hope to work for a company like theirs. you can add you haven't been looking but really like.......
build the relationship first and get your name out there
