Here is a WSJ Article detailing how they are consolidating all of their real estate investing practices under one roof. It sounds like their real estate investing activity has outgrown their balance sheet so they're moving to a more traditional fund structure

On another note, does anyone know which recruiter Goldman uses for their merchant bank? I remember seeing this article and anticipating some hiring by them, but never saw any job postings or blasts from the big recruiting firms
I recall seeing a good amount of real estate MBD analyst postings in Dallas/Irvine last year
None, I believe. Most candidates are referral based and/or apply direct.
The MBD listings are still current they seem to re-list them every couple weeks on a rotation.
