Good undergraduate business schools for a highschooler.

Hey I am a highschooler and am curious what schools I should I apply for for UG finance.

I live in Virginia so I will be applying to UVA and W&M (maybe washington and lee) Any other schools (except for HYPS duke mit and wharton because those are reach schools for me) that would help me for a finance career? (acceptence rates 10%-15% at the lowest)

To be completely honest, my parents don't believe that I should take this career path (they think that I will graduate out of college in-debt and working at Subway) and want me to become an engineer or doctor. However, I have a pretty new interest in business and i'm trying to figure all of this out for myself so any advice is highly appreciated!

Although I know its up to me to be successful, what school would make it significantly easier?

Thanks, all these suggestions have helped me tons. But I have one more question, would it be worth it to go anywhere but UVa?

It's very affordable for my family and although I don't know much about the financial field, it seems in their last destination report their undergrads did very well.

Also one more question (sorry im curious), after I graduate from UG business school, will I ever have to get a masters or do I just work with a 4 year degree forever?

I am also looking at business schools, my main issue, and something to consider with UVa is that there is no direct admit to the business program. You would need to apply to the business school during your sophomore year (I think), so there is no guarantee that you would be accepted to the business school.

UVa, W&M, and W&L are all great schools, but if it were me, I would choose UVa. I’d only consider the field if you were given a full or close to full-ride or if you just really fit in culturally at the other schools.

As for your question regarding a need for a MS/ MBA post-UG, my opinion is that you’d eventually need one, but I wouldn’t rush to get another degree until it was apparent that the lack thereof would inhibit your career growth.
