Great Game
Okay, let's put the prestige thing to bed. Here's the game - someone posts two competing offers, and others choose which offer they'd take. Once we have a few responses, we'll post another two offers, and so on.
Here are the rules: groups don't matter, salaries and bonuses are the same, location is the same, etc., it's simply of the two offers which one would you take.
So, let's hear from you all:
Round 1: JPM vs. Lehman Brothers.
This is an all-time low...
Round 2:
Leggy Blonde or Busty Brunette
This is a way to get people thinking about decisions, what's wrong with that? This is an i-banking board, shouldn't we be talking about the banks. I can promise you this, it's a hell of a lot better system than people arguing over bullshit league tables.
The problem is we don't argue over league tables and instead debate banks as a whole (worthless).
You want to argue JPM Risk Management vs Goldman Equities Clearing go ahead.
I'm not here for that.
I'd take leggy blonde.
Can we take both leggy blonde and busty brunette? It's not like they're i-banking offers; you can definitely juggle the two.
As long as you can afford to keep both you can have what you want. If your lucky you can juggle three a firm assed red head should complete the pack.
busty brunette, then encourage her to go blonde
^^ thats a good idea. I would have said a busty, leggy blonde.
Sorry Pitchmonkey but this thread never had a chance. At least i made sure it didnt die straight away
leggy blonde. plastic surgery is much harder on legs.
Good point.
JPM sucks
Lehman. JPM is terrible.
i'm not big fan of balance sheet banks (JPM, Citi), but you guys are being harsh on them. JPM and Citi aren't great, but definitely NOT terrible.
JPM's Lev. Fin, CHR are really strong while M&A group is pretty good.
Blackstone M&A or Merrill
why Blackstone M&A?
..
duh
Blackstone M&A is a way overrated group, if you can get over your boner for the Blackstone name on your business card
Goldman Sachs vs. Godzilla
Are we talking '54 or '98 Godzilla?
GS Next Round: The Chattanooga, TN based money-making powerhouse Decosimo corporate finance (DCF) vs. UBS LA
this must be a farce...
this must be a farce...
you make DCF sound very appealing so I'll choose that.
30 million dollar lottery ticket at age 50 or a job as as a VP at GS (this is a trick question, let's see who gets it!)
really depends on what u were doing before 50... bum? bus driver? VP at MS? PE?
I would appreciate any comments as to whether I should take a Summer Analyst position in the M&A groups of UBS or Merrill Lynch. One priority, although not necessarily my top one, is exit opportunities to top PE shops after 2 years as an analyst. Thanks in advance.
UBS M&A places very well. At least one a year from that group heads to Carlyle.
Merrill M&A has much better exit ops than UBS... carlyle, cd&r, top hedge funds.
can we get back on topic and get some more answers on the blonde or brunette question? i have an exploding offer and would highly value any advice i could get. thanks
take'em both. your call if you let them know about each other.
I have that exact dilema. But they are both blonde. Going out with a leggy one tonight, when my manager finally leaves. I was suppose to be there 10 mins ago.
how would Blackstone M&A rank next to UBS M&A or like Lehman M&A JPM M&A
w
Credit Suisse Vs. Perella Weinberg ?
Both Summer Internships
lets assume '54 godzilla
you clearly haven't been face-to-face with him.
Fuck them both go with J.T Marlin
Round 7:
Pierce & Pierce vs. JT Marlin
