Growth Equity FT recruiting timeline
Hi can anyone chime in on when the ft (out of undergrad) recruiting/interview timeline looks for top GE firms (General Atlantic, Summit, Insight, Lead Edge, etc..). I'm interning at another GE firm as a SA and trying to figure out if recruitment will happen before/during/after the internship.
Also, any insight on what those interviews are like would be extremely helpful (In my experience GE firms normally don't ask technical questions and wondering if that's the same for top shops).
Lastly, are all applications on target job boards or are some only available through networking (Insight's is already on my school's job board for next year)
Thanks!
What do you mean by tier 2 growth firms? Give examples
Also wondering
probably referring to growth firms that aren’t as big as insight/ga - think volition, norwest, stripes, lead edge, levels, etc
though calling them “tier 2” is a bit strange imo
.
Lol unless we know their returns, fund raises, and investments it's quite difficult to bucket/tier/rank those firms.
People love certain funds on here whether it’s PE GE or VC meanwhile funds they’ve never heard of are kicking their ass
Fund size is a good way to bucket them and is generally accurate, especially for GE/late-stage as the top funds usually have the best deal flow and invest in the hottest startups. Although, bigger isn't always better in traditional PE, where larger funds can actually be disadvantageous because of the limited amount of deals you can do.
