GS Energy S&T Summer Analyst

I have an interview with GS coming up. It kinda fell into my lap and I haven't prepped anything for it, as have mainly interviewed for IBD.

I've searched the forum pretty hard but haven't found much info (outside of Gekko's thread) and was hoping someone could answer a few questions.

What do trading analysts actually do on a day to day basis? I'm assuming prepping presentations for market info, commodity prices, trading strategies, etc., booking trades, liaising. Sounds like i'd be the trader's assistant, does anyone have a better description?

Should I approach the "why GS" question in a similar manner as I would in IB? Unlike their IBD, I haven't met anyone from the S&T side and know very little about it.

What kind of general/energy knowledge should I know other then what markets/commodities are trading? I've found mix responses especially to a SA position
