Guggenheim Partners, Belvedere Trading INFORMATION

Does anyone know anything about Guggenheim Partners or Belvedere Trading?

What matters about them being private?
How do they perform?
What is the level of prestige and mobility in the industry working at these places?
Any other information?

I interned at Belvedere a couple years ago. I don't work there now, but I do work in the industry.

They are a medium sized options market maker, with their business focused mainly on floor traders. They have been doing quite well and have expanded from just the SPX to a wide range of products including energies, metals, and most of the indicies. You have to begin as a clerk, which lasts for 6-18 mos. You then get promoted to a trader. I can't speak for their risk limits but they do reward results and achievement on an individual basis. They are not that prestigious, but, really, that shouldn't matter. If you do a good job you'll be rewarded there.

Feel free to pm me with any other questions about them.
