Bank of America GWIM US Trust Summer Analyst
So I got an offer for a summer analyst position with US Trust, BofA GWIM for this summer and was wondering if anyone had any information about the experience. It's in Boston and in the High Net Worth Group within GWIM. Thanks.
I recently received an offer from us trust gwim as well, so i'd also appreciate any input that anyone has
I got destroyed during this interview
It's one of the largest multi-family offices around. Not a bad place to be. Can't say exactly what the experience will be like, but most family offices have the ability to transact in a large variety of asset classes so...
How about as far as exit opps and transitioning into other areas if I don't want to stay in PB?
I was a SA for GWIM in USWM and am returning full time. Pay is good given the hours, which are amazing. Getting interviews from banks is definitely easier if you have this on the resume. If you are trying to do IBD though, this probably isn't the place for you. It would be relatively easy to switch from a summer to IBD full time if you go to a target school or have a network. It is not easy/likely to transition to IBD after going full time into PB, you would see more research, PB, IM and buy side interest generally. The industry structure is fluid right now, so it's hard to predict exit ops.
I just interviewed too. did you get called for super day? also is this paid BC i didn't ask?

I'm looking for some information on the group's reputation and exit opps. I also have an offer from a BB, but it's for a summer finance analyst program that appears to be more of a BO/MO position. I'm not sure if I'd be more interested in AM or IB, but if I wanted to break into IB, which opportunity do you think would provide more leverage?
