Head of U.S. Investment Banking at RBC Capital Markets quits

Blair Fleming, head of RBC Capital Markets in the US, has left the firm after more than 30 years, according to people familiar with the matter.

Anyone have info on why he quit (maybe forced out)? He has consistently been credited as expanding RBC's US presence in investment banking and pushing them inside the top 10 of US league tables in investment banking fees. Anyone have an idea what's next for RBC? Is this good or bad news for their growth?

According to a report by the Financial Post Royal Bank of Canada fired its U.S. investment banking chief Blair Fleming because he failed to disclose that he was having an improper relationship with an employee.

It's been confirmed he violated workplace relationship policies by not report having a relationship with a staffer.
