Hedge Fund Internship as a Freshmen

Hey all,

I want to ask what skills I should really focus on developing for an internship with a hedge fund this summer, as a freshman.

Really I just want to know what skills the fund would be looking for if I asked for an internship (I'm talking to an MD at the fund and I'd like to actually know some shit before I even bother trying to ask). Should I focus on developing my excel skills overall, modeling, valuation, or what?
