HELP!! What do I do?!

So I have a phone interview with DE Shaw in an hour, junior prop trader intern. I hear their interviews are ridiculous. I have been stressed out with finals/papers and haven't been following the markets at all. Also, I'm an EE major so I don't know the technicals. There is no way I can bs my way through the interview. Additionally, I want to do IB before I go buy side. Should I just let the interviewer know I'm withdrawing my application. Has this been done before? I know, I'm a freaken idiot -__-

Terrible idea to withdraw... what if you end up with no offers or other interviews? Just get a headset for your call and have your computer ready and type quick if you dont know something. Google basically knows all ;) It takes like a few hours to catch up on the markets, not hard.

No, you shouldn't withdraw, lol. They'll probably give you finance specific technical depending on how much finance you have your resume (if it looks on paper, your skills are level 5 expect questions on level 7; if on paper your skills look like level 2 expect questions on level 5). You should mentally prepare for brain teasers.

DE Shaw would be amazing... Man the f up. Remember, they called you (and not the other 10k applicants) for a reason.

I'll do what I can to help ya'll. But, the game's out there, and it's play or get played.

IT'S OVER!!! I think it's safe to say I won't be interning at DE Shaw lol. Totally my fault, but whatevs... typical questions to begin why de shaw/trading?.. and time for my questions at the end. Only technical question was a game theory question: Everyone in new york city is told to submit a number 0-100 (real or integer), and they will win $10,000 if the number is 2/3 everyone else's average. What number should you submit? edit: everyone knows the rules/information

How did you mess up? I interviewed with them and I didn't any brainteasers.
