I couldn't find relevant or recent information on this in search bar or Google. I understand VC's tend to pay less than large PE shops, but I was wondering which VCs usually pay the highest, as there's quite a few of them (i.e. in PE Apollo/Centerbridge are know to pay one of the highest).
Also, which tech banks position candidates the best to head into VC?
My understanding is that generally the larger VCs take in people with prior banking/consulting background but prefers people with entrepreneurship experience.
Yes. From the research I did, it seems later-stage VC firms do take in a lot of ex-bankers because you work much more with numbers and valuation, while early-stage funds are much entrepreneur-focused. I found though that the bigger VC funds tend to be later-stage.
