Houlihan Lokey - NY Office
Anyone have any experience with Houlihan Lokey’s NY office? Culture / experience / dealflow / lifestyle, etc? Not worried about exit opps but just the office in general.

I had a first round with someone in their office, and met another one for coffee. Really chill guys, very good at what they do.
Culture-wise, you really can't go wrong with HL NY. These guys are wicked smart, too.
Dealflow is obviously amazing, as these are the top guys in RX. For IB, HL NY is IMO one of the best places to be because of multiple reasons, especially for the experience you get there (unparalleled opportunity in RX space) and the quality of the culture (laid-back, incredibly collegial and supportive).
Could you tell me how HL Chicago compares with HL New York? Is HL and HL RX in Chicago also considered very good/better than mid BB?
Which team.....
Not RX, corporate finance in a coverage group. FIG specifically.
Not sure about their culture but their return in the past year was, if I recall correctly, 50%. You might want to check on that
Return rate was low for fig last summer (

Do you guys have any updates for the status of recruitment for Houlihan NYC, corporate finance or Restructuring?
as of 9/8/17 per @BeautifullyConfused - "Update from a Target: Roughly half the banks have announced closed lists for OCR as of today; the other half will finish by next Friday."

That is not true
Good to know that that's inaccurate. Any info on this then?
From what I know, RX is pretty filled. corporate finance on the other hand there is still a bit to go. They're starting OCR for our school this week and so I'm assuming they'll be holding superdays in the next couple weeks and fill out their class by mid october.

Had some friends there during our summer analyst stint, not in the groups mentioned above (rx, fig). They loved it and returned full-time, so I'd say culture is good. Were pretty busy too so I wouldn't worry about deal flow.
