how do you make eye contact at the interviews

i'v been having trouble making too much eye contact , or very little contact at interview. i don"t know if this will affect the decision whether or not. Please explain to me the best way possible to make good eye contact in one page i'll really appreciated .

Use them as a guide, and see how much eye contact they make. If they stare into your soul, stare back. If they look away at the end of every sentence, do the same. That will make whoever you talk to feel most comfortable and possibly even like you more. That's at least been my experience.

Whenever i interview people, if eye contact goes over 60% of our time together its a ding.

How do you track this? With a chess clock, phone timer app, etc...?

Personally I maintain an intense stare into the other person's eyes until they look away, thus asserting my alpha dominance. Much like dogs.

I have two boxing board girls / cheerleaders, one holding up the time of eye contact, they other just dancin'.

As silly as a question as it is - I actually will give you a bit of credit for asking this.

An interview is a completely different social situation to what you are used to, and I still think about eye contact even after having done more than 100 interviews. Always look at the person as they are speaking to you, but break off eye contact from time to time. When you are speaking you don't have to look at the person as much, look to the side as if remembering something or thinking of something. You don't want to appear too creepy by staring at them, you don't want to appear too weird by not looking at them. It's a fine balance between the two. Last but not least, just try to be natural and keep your eye contact like you would in a normal situation. If you are a bit of a freak, work on your eye contact - it will make your more of a socially functioning human being.

I think we are forgetting about blink rate. I've noticed some people blink more than others, should I attempt to match the blink rate?

Good point. You should be blinking in Morse Code "i love you". something like this: .. / .-.. --- ...- . / -.-- --- ..-

You can stare at them, and blink and nod your head. You're suppose to stare less when you're talking and more when they are talking. I havent been to many interviews but I like to stare then blink and nod my head at the same damnnn time.

Just wear sunglasses and don't worry about it. If you're asked about sunglasses inside or at night just remind that simpleton that the sun never sets on a badass.

Awesome response.

Fortes fortuna adiuvat.

Being less aspy and less weird is just general life advice that I think would do you well.
