Your life savings and assets are taken away due to identity theft and crappy luck. You lost your job, wife and kids. Your dog left you for your neighbor's premium canine chow. All you have left is $5,000 and you've given up on life so all you care about is turning it into $1,000,000. You're ready to palm those millions as soon as you can. What do you do?

Include benchmarks for the timeline leading up to the year you reach the $1,000,000 point. Get your free silver bananas here.

Hijacking the top comment: Please don't invest in crypto. I say that as someone who has made bank off of it. It's just so hit or miss. More likely to go to zero than $1M.

Yeah I second this one, I went in not knowing a thing. I want holding a massive position that risked my financial stability but I was still lucky to break even.

When you say you lost your wife and kids....were they killed or did she just divorce you? That makes a huge difference on this timeline to $1MM.

  1. Determine your skillset. Does it suck? What is marketable?
    1a. Get skill
  2. Take $100 and market skill (newspaper ad, facebook ad in local market, etc.
  3. Use skill to make $... Does this make you the desired amount? Probably not. Determine new skill gap while making $ with skill 1.
  4. Get skill 2
  5. Make bank

Life is all about gap analysis. Where are you now vs where do you want to be

Learn how to design logos for Silicon valley tech startups. Take equity instead of cash. Until you own like 1%-3% of 20-30 companies. Hope one of the companies gets a 1 Billion dollar valuation. Sell equity back to owners or wait for an IPO.

Mar 19, 2019

Lol the logo guy gets 3% equity now?

Sean Parker persuaded artist David Choe to take stock instead of cash for painting the walls of Facebook's first office. Now that stock is worth $400 million.

Mar 19, 2019

Since when 15$ logo can be exchanged for equity? Those startup guys must be really high to accept this

Mar 19, 2019

You think a logo is 15 dollars?

How much would Coca-Cola pay to keep their logo?
How much would Nike pay to keep their swoosh?

Good logos can be anywhere from $150-$5000. Depending on the text and the design.

Mar 20, 2019

I know a very few selected people who are artists who actually took equity from startups.

They're living well-off already from it. It's not cheap and is not easy to create the "perfect" logo. A lot of work goes into it.

No pain no game.

I'm trying to figure out what a good average risk rate would be. I can probably take a loan for 2.5-3.5%
