How Elite is Dartmouth Tuck MBA?

I know Dartmouth UG is one of the top targets in terms of placement per capita. How well regarded in the world of finance is Dartmouth Tuck?

Obviously few people go into MF PE, but that's the case for every non HSW school. So, besides that, how strong of a school is it in terms of credibility, network, general prestige on the street or in business in general?

Definitely below HSW but still a very great place. The biggest advantage Tuck has over comparable schools is how receptive the alumni network is to helping you. I didn't go to Tuck, but a number of my friends and co-workers went to Tuck and they all take extreme pride in the Tuck name and are super receptive to helping out Tuck students/alumni, more so than any other MBA program.

This.  I'd take it over some of the lower-ranked M7 for these reasons.  Always been impressed by how engaged their alumni network is.  Generally cool and upbeat people.  Think you have to be, to handle two years in Hannover.

The truth is you're the weak. And I'm the tyranny of evil men. But I'm tryin', Ringo. I'm tryin' real hard to be the shepherd.

If you want to look at rankings, use U.S. News. They are tied for 10th with NYU.

But why Tuck over others?

  • If you want to get into consulting. Class with the highest % going in this industry/function.
  • If you want the tag of "Ivy League".
  • Best off all - to get the most out of your 2 years and form a close bond with your class. Imagine this, out in the middle of no where and have the smallest MBA class of T15. You are bound to make amazing friendships and get the best out of your time there.

It is a very well respected school. It is no HSW, but it is still a top brand for both UG and MBA

You will find these douchebags everywhere though. At Harvard or at a community college.

Also whats wrong with "pwc consultant"? You do realize T2 consulting (Deloitte, EY/Parthenon, PWC/Strategy&, Accenture, Kearney) are top 10 employers at top 24 B-schools?
Deloitte is Top 5 employer at Wharton, Kellogg, Tuck, Haas, Yale, Duke, Ross (to name a few). Top 10 at Harvard, booth, CBS, . Strategy&/PWC is a top 5 employer at Booth. Top 10 at CBS.

I mean it’s not a M7 but it’s still good definitely below HSW booth and MIT
