How important will experience in sustainability be for future portfolio managers?
Obviously this will depend greatly on where somebody works, both company and region wise. Sustainable products have existed for some time, but only recently have major funds dipped their toes into the water.
Personally I interned at a sustainable fund within a large European asset managent firm. I could list a number of factors that are(n't) in favour of this development (client demands, physical/transitional climate risk management. but also a decrease of the investable universe, the list goes on).
Just genuinely quite curious in how more experienced professionals within the AM industry view this development.
