How Many Emails do you Receive in a Day?
Simple question: how many emails do you receive/send on an average day? What about a light/heavy day? More importantly, how many do you think you can keep up with?
On a normal day, I receive and respond to roughly 50 or so. On a crazy day, I can hit upwards of 100. In terms of managing 100+ emails, I have rules in place so that I can easily categorize worthwhile vs. throwaways.
Just curious as to different sides of the industry with different email volumes.

How frequently do you get emails from students trying to break in?
What usually entices you to view and read certain emails from students?
What usually makes you not want to read students' emails?
Would be very good info. Thanks!
I usually respond back regardless, but a short e-mail asking to speak with a strong resume probably works best. No coffee chats unless I know you personally. It also helps if we're actually near recruiting time.
