How Much Do Psychometric Tests Matter?

I did the William and Blair Suited Survey one, and while the personality one was fine, the cognitive ability was a total shit show. If you did bad on that, are you automatically out of the running? I mean I understand the attention to detail section(even that was kinda ridiculous though), but the equivalent statements and number patterns were awful. Don't get what the point of these tests are. I can understand a normal table/graph analysis and reading test, but some of the other stuff comes out as dumb to me. Does anyone know how much WB weighs this assessment? If you networked, will you be fine even if you bombed the assessment? No point worrying about it anymore I guess. Do you guys prepare for these tests or what?
