How strict are requirements for bank diversity programs?
Ie, if you are a POC, but not one of the ones specifically listed (black, latino, or Native American), can you still apply to diversity programs?

Typically you have to be an underrepresented POC. For diversity programs if you don't fit what's specifically listed, the program probably doesn't apply to you
brown Indian boys trying to qualify for diversity programs be like
but in all reality, if you are south east Asian or pacific Asian, or a POC that is quite underrepresented in finance, it is worth a shot

That’s what i thought too...part of me was scared they’ll blacklist me if they find out but i guess the worst that can happen is i get rejected edit: spelling
At Evercore anyone that didn't go to IVY League is a diversity candidate

Imagine going to Stanford and being considered as diversity

Is it fair to get a leg up this way when you're competing against kids who may have had an unfair advantage all their life i.e. rich parents, tutors, connections, etc.?
how do they prove that you are gay

Then just be bi, it's biphobic if they question it and say that you don't fit in their definition of what's considered to be bi
Much easier to say you're bi than gay, because you're eventually gonna get married and people would probably raise an eyebrow if a gay man marries a woman. I'd suggest wearing the occasional bow tie or fedora at company outings, should do the trick.
