How to Move From Equity Trading (Buy side) to Credit Trading (Sell-Side)?

I'm currently an equity execution junior trader at a hedge fund. Equity execution trading isnt that interesting/challenging and feel that I would be much more interested in trading fixed-income based off of everything that I know and have read about it. Whats the best way to make this switch? Also, is it a bad idea to move from the buy side to the sell side?

Well you should first identify the open position you are seeking through either a connection (better) or an online posting. Then get the interview, and eventually the offer. You have trading experience so contrary to what people may lead you to believe on this board, it should be a easy transition. Good luck

What type of shit bank are you working at that's advertising its FO jobs online? Head hunters, or connections. Juniors are hired from Uni into grad programs, that's the only parenthesis to the rule.
