HP 12c reliability - (Pr Error)
I'm having issues with my HP 12c... I keep getting a (Pr Error) and it won't do TVM calculations.
Have any of you guys had reliability issues with the HP 12c? This is a new model HP 12c. The old ones are super reliable (I had lost mine).
Had one for 2+ years now and never had an issue
Thanks. That clears everything up.
i know a 12c shows Pr Error when you hold (-) press ON. This clears the memory. Sounds like another issue though....try changing the batteries maybe?
I've changed the batteries... it works fabulously now.. thanks guys... SB for the good advice.
It's funny you mention this because I am having issues with mine as well. Whenever i press the n, i, PV, PMT, or FV buttons, the calculator turns off. When I turn it back on, I'm faced with PR ERROR. Some of the other keys do this intermittently as well. Kind of disappointing, since I had heard such good things about the calculator.
I will try the battery switch.
Yup, it was the battery.
HP12C's have gone down in quality. I get PR errors all the time and I am on my second new calculator in a year. My 20-plus year old HP12C at home still works better than my new ones. I am thinking of trying a whole new calculator.... Maybe Texas Intstruments. HP12cs are no longer reliable.
