I applied for this job, and they want me to interview for that job?

Has anyone else had this problem?

I applied for a Private Banking position with JP Morgan last week, and the recruiter interviewed me for the position. A few days later I received a call from the recruiter asking if I would also be interested in interviewing for another position in their Private Banking department, though not the same position as the one that I originally applied for. After getting the details on this new position I said I would be happy interviewing for it as well. After speaking with my contacts at JPM, I should push for the first job over the one they called me about yesterday. There are more opportunities, and this new position is more of a C suite position. Both are great jobs, but I should take the first one and not the second.

I will be interviewing for this new position today. How do I let them know that, while I am certainly interested in this job, I would probably be best suited for the original position? I don't want to hurt my chances with either opportunity, but I just don't want to be in a job where I want to leave in 2 years either.
