Nah bro, never. Even if I think I'm not qualified, I'd rather that they told me this and then dinged me as opposed to me bowing myself out of the process. You miss 100% of the shots you don't take, always be confident in yourself.
I got an email from them inviting me to apply for the ER program a few days after the GS 13 fiasco lol. I replied and said "no thanks"
I have pretty bad anxiety and one of the first interviews I landed during recruiting was with a firm that was pretty technical. From what I read around here and the reputation it had, I knew that I wouldn't make it past the three-minute mark and saved myself from embarrassment and canceled. I ended up getting my shit together and was able to land an offer somewhere else. The anxiety in me doesn't blame myself but at the same time, I still have those "what if" moments. Trust your gut, everything will work out eventually.
i remember out of uni i was working for a energy start up and I had a rothschilds interview that clashed with a big conference where the startup asked me to go as well to network with big wig execs in energy industry and I thought that would be better + didn't want to cancel on my start up...plus was scared of bombing it...still regret it who knows what could have been. ended up going FT big4 audit before moving to industry before finally transitioning to consulting and my dream job...so alls well that ends well but still...
My first job out of college. They wanted someone with 3-4 years experience and knew how to use some systems. I was def not qualified but still showed up and got the job and did well. Dont count yourself out. Let them be the ones to ding you, worst case, it’s good interview experience

Also, you do realise that interviewing is a great opportunity for self-improvement? It's a great opportunity to work on your communication, presentation, sales, and even analytical skills that would have helped you in future interviews... Not sure why you wouldn't want the experience.
Only reason I would withdraw if I was in your shoes is if I was working on a live deal and simply didn't have the free time.
