I want to get a job in crypto. Business development. Ideas?

Hi all, my background is quite exotic, I worked as a flight crew for a major airline then studied finance and worked in RE asset management and for a year at a L/S HF in London. I hated with a passion being an analyst, crunching numbers was boring af and the culture was absolute shit, so I resigned from the HF and I had a job offer (IR for an aviation fund) that got on hold bc someone decided to have stirred-fried bat for lunch. So I have been unemployed for some 14 months now, the job offer I have just doesn't move forward, so I need a backup plan ASAP.  

This plan is working in the crypto industry. I love DeFi and crypto, I see DeFi replacing a bunch of roles at banks in the next few years. I am the type of person who likes to meet clients, promote the company and make deals happen. Business development/IR seems the way to go. I have the fancy HF background and I also speak 4 languages, I know they like that stuff in crypto world. 

So my question to you is, do you have any info on how it is to work for crypto companies as BD/IR? Like what the job is actually like, etc. I know that in the traditional finance BD/IR roles are seen as inferior, is it the same in the crypto space? Any idea of the salaries? I have seen ranges from 50K to 200K a year...

I couldn't find that much reliable info online on how it is to work in crypto.. :( It's the wild west out there, hundreds of companies recruiting, but how many of those jobs are at legitimate projects?..

If you could shed some light on this world for me it would be super sweet.
