Might not come as a surprise with the recent slowdown compared to earlier

Analyst 1 started last year winter

Citi / BAML type BB in M&A Group

Log off around 10:30 average and average 75ish hours in May

Worst has been 85 with weekends

Lowest has been 65

That’s... reasonable. Hope it stays light for you. Are you mostly pitching right now?

Currently only on one live deal that's nowhere near closing, how have hours been like for you? and what type of bank are you at?

0% chance I will stay for associate promotion. I don't think any of my peers will either. PE is more or less the same job at a large fund but more interested in being at a place that aligns with my investment philosophy and people I would be excited to work with (instead of people I don't really respect or am interested in learning from). I made the mistake of picking a job I wanted to be at vs. picking the right people. If only I could go back to college days and been a little smarter with my opportunities....
