If your SO told you she had an abortion, would that be a deal breaker for you?

I believe in a woman's right to choose but I must admit that I think abortion is morally fucked up. Am I wrong in thinking that having an abortion makes you a completely shitty person? And I'm not talking about a woman having an abortion if her life's endangered. I'm talking the standard abortion. Like Rebecca got rawdogged by Doug and got an abortion because she didn't want the child.

No--it would not be a deal breaker for me. I personally believe it's a womans right to choose and honestly if she did that in the past it's none of my business. I would not have any reason to care. Love the MS I'm getting on this for stating an opinion.

Dayman?

The my body my choice argument is so stupid it hurts. Here comes MS, but a baby inside of you is not part of your body. It's within you, but not actually your own body. Would you ask a pregnant woman how her body was? No. You would ask how her baby was. It doesn't become "your body" until she decides she doesn't want the kid.

I don't know if it makes you a shitty person considering the shitstorm of a culture we live in that's endlessly propagating spews of leftist nonsense. Idk if she can be fully held accountable because she has likely been fed misinformation and lies her entire life and A) can't think critically on the matter, B) doesn't know any better

You do realise than a baby is not a baby until the last couple months right? And all the countries that allow legal abortions within the 1st trimester have logic behind them. After 3 months a fetus has the same life as a tumor. You're not aborting a 'human life', you're aborting an amalgamation of cells. Thats it. Its basic science, not a moral argument.

You're conflating your opinion with science. A human fetus is "human life". What you're actually trying to argue is whether or not a fetus has personhood. That's not a scientific argument one can make either way. It's a purely moral and/or philisophical argument.

I'm a recent convert to the pro-life position (moving slowly from pro-abortion to pro-choice to having an epiphany) because I could not reach any conclusion other than abortion is murder. Either you believe a fetus has personhood or you don't. If you don't believe a fetus has personhood then you'll never be convinced that abortion is an act of unspeakable depravity. If you believe a fetus has personhoold then there is no other conclusion that you can reach other than abortion should be outlawed along with murder.

That said, a past abortion would not be a dealbreaker because it would depend on who they are today and how they react to their past behavior (after all, like, 2 months ago I was pro-choice, and 5 years ago a full-throated advocate--who am I to judge?). If she's "shouting her abortion" then I know she's lost in a deep hole of wickedness that's hard to dig out of. That would be a dealbreaker.
