In need of college advice
Hello fellow monkeys,I am coming today in need of advice.(Background: rising soph, 3.85 gpa, hedge fund analyst intern)I attend a small liberal arts college with very few alumnus currently in BB IB roles in NYC (like less then 5). However there is one senior alumni at a BB in NYC who really likes me and is pushing for me to land an internship. He got me in touch with HR, and other banks, etc, and seem like a really good resource whom seems dedicated to getting me on Wall Street. I also have a good relationship with the finance teacher at this school who is putting me in touch with lots of resources and groups in the community and school, giving me leadership positions, boosting my resume. However, today I got into Univeristy of Miami for economics. I dont know what to do. Does Univeristy of Miami have good alumni network that can help me break into IB? A close knit one? Also, is uMiami regarded as a good school on Wall Street? Is it worth it to leave? Does the school have hood resources there as well? Like clubs, local groups, etc? Thanks y'all,Means a lot.
Fellow student here but with a 3.85 I’d assume you could transfer into somewhere better than UMiami
Ya, I got a presidential scholarship. I got into ND as a philosophy major. Didn't have math requirements to apply to their business school, and many other business schools like ross business school. How do you like u Miami? How's the alumni network? Helpful? What resources?
I don’t go there, just meant I’m also in college and my opinion shouldn’t be taken as the gospel lol
