Intern vs Analyst Starting Salary

Hi all,

I will be a SA at a BB this upcoming Summer (Banking but not IB). It is premature, but I am trying to gauge my future and prioritize locking down a full-time offer vs networking. For the sake of clarity, I will be very transparent regarding income:

I will be making 85K pro-rated over the Summer. I understand that this was recently increased. So, I am wondering if I get a FT analyst offer, will my starting salary be 85K? (exclude potential bonuses obv.)

Does anyone have recent experience with this? My main concern is that a friend of mine (in a different industry, nonetheless) was making around the same last Summer but was hired on making around 65-70K.

Thanks!

It is the same and probably won't change in the next year. The 85k is standard for all BB. The only thing is that your bonus may not be as high as say IB and your salary increase may not be as rapid as say IB.

It’s a structured finance role in a “Global Banking” division. Someone mentioned it already, but it seems most Finance roles at BB are starting 85k, just smaller bonuses and less dramatic raise structure.

Long time lurker, finally made an account recently. I recently landed a SA for WM with a BB and prorated pay is 39k. Pardon my ignorance, I'm still a student so I don't know how my role will play out, but if I do get a full time offer as an analyst for the same bank, will I be offered this annual salary? From looking online, it seems analysts make base 60k+
