Looking to move to Miami and continue my IBD career there - does anyone know if BB have investment banking teams down there? What about maybe MM shops? Also, any insights on comp would be appreciated, considering the fact that they have no income tax

I think some of the BBs have their LATAM IB teams down there, but don't no which ones. I know the following MM have a presence in Florida:
- Oppenheimer (HC Services)
- Raymond James
- Baird (Distribution)
-Truist (Building out their TMT practice)
Other notable banks are Crosstree and Needham
Crosstree and RayJay are both Tampa/St. Pete.
Miami houses some HL FIG.
Do you (or anyone) have any info on the Truist office? Is it actually down in Miami? Also, how big is the office and what sectors do they cover?

There isn't much. Oppenheimer hc services is probably the best "name." Baird dist is in tampa. You have cassell salpeter, vaupen, Antarctica and maybe one or two more. But they're all regional boutiques so up to you if that's your speed. Another is Cross keys is in Fort Lauderdale ~30-40 min from brickel
