Investment Idea Preparation - Feasibility
Hi community,
I am about to prepare investment ideas for private equity recruiting and am thinking hard about the feasibility of a deal.
There a many great assets with strong margins, solid growth, low cyclicality and customer concentration. However, what determines whether they could be an interesting asset for a deal?
I am tackling this problem from two perspectives: 1. Privat assets -> why are some assets more likely to seek capital from PE vs. others and what determines this (apart from successions with old owners/ family, secondaries or distressed assets)? 2. Public assets which are ought to get taken private -> why are some assets more ripe for a take private than others?
Looking forward to your ideas.
tomahawk92, bummer your thread hasn't had a response yet. Sometimes bots are smarter than humans anyways:
If those topics were completely useless, don't blame me, blame my programmers...
For the first question, if a pe has a portco or network that can provide a private company potential clients or market, the private company would seek the pe’s capital.
For the second question, I have no experience of this, so Im curious also.
