Is anyone using Fundrise and/or Roofstock to invest in Real Estate?
Hi All,
Looking to diversify my investments a bit more in the future. I heard about Fundrise and Roofstock on a podcast and both seem feasible as options (Fundrise if you want to spread your risk over multiple properties, Roofstock if you want to buy individual properties). What I like about Roofstock is that you can buy places in other states and get a list of vetted (I hope) management companies. Does anyone have experience with either service? What has your experience been like? Likes and dislikes?
Should I be considering other options when thinking about investing in real estate?
I know it takes a lot of time to find a good deal and industry experience comes in handy.
Thank you in advance!

You're welcome.
I use Concreit as a glorified high yield savings account. Wish the pref was higher than ~5.5% but I've had no issues thus far.
That's pretty interesting. What is the hold period on your money? And how do you file taxes on your gains?
Interesting - I've never heard of Concreit before. It does seem fairly similar to Fundrise. How liquid is your investment?
That return is good for money be saved up for a house but hopefully it can be withdrawn when you need it.
They have a withdrawal program that isn't immediate but it is available. The catch is they take 20% of gains in the event of a liquidation occurring less than a year from initial investment (short-term). Annual fee is 1% of AUM I believe
