Is my cc plan solid to get a investment banking job in NYC, DC, CHI?

I am a 11th grade student living in Charlottesville virginia . I want to get into investment banking or consulting. I want to go to community college , and trafser into uva and go to Mcintire which for virginia community college students they have guaranteed admission if you get a certain GPA. should i do that or just go to a low tier state school. also i am a minority so i could use a minority program

Don't worry about too much right now-- just relax and finish school. Fortunately, with the VCCS program, if you just make sure you can transfer into UVA's McIntire school then you'll be fine; they have a great program and has solid OCR for both IB and MC.

I went the VCCS route but didn't qualify for the guaranteed admission in UVa because I got a D in my first community college class. I wasn't serious about school at the time and even though I later retook the course and got an A, I was still disqualified from using the guaranteed admission agreement with UVa. From what I remember, this was four years ago, the guaranteed admission agreement does not apply to the Comm school it only applies to the college of arts & sciences. Which means, you would have to apply without using the agreement. I would apply to transfer each semester your freshman year. You don't need to attend the Comm school to get a banking or consulting job, although it should help. Econ, Math, Engineering are popular majors for those jobs you mentioned that aren't offered through McIntire. I'm not sure if engineering is part of the College of Arts and Sciences.
