They definitely exist, but are not advertised. Start asking around in the spring, when SA recruiting is wrapped up. Interviews will take place in June to July.
You'll probably need contacts to vouch for you when it comes to landing an interview. So start working on that now.

They exist...but the only way to get them is to Network, Network, Network...you really are going to have to hit the phones and e-mail to make an opportunity for yourself.
They are not advertised. You'll need contacts who can ask for you internally. They exist mostly for schools on trimester schedules, for the winter term, which is typically Jan-Mar. But you should absolutely get yourself considered if you can take time off for it.

An query of getting an internship in the winter (Originally Posted: 05/01/2013)
Hi dudes,
I wonder if getting an internship in the winter is too much harder compared to getting it in the summer. I've heard from one of my friend working in the States that there rarely are the opportunities of internships in the winter. Since I've never got an internship in the US, I wanna know whether it is true or not.
In what? I've known people who do wealth management internships in the winter.
Depends on the company but by and large there are far fewer internships in the winter and those that are available are often more poorly run because the companies have less experience with them.
Was not able to secure a summer internship, any thoughts on winter internships? (Originally Posted: 05/05/2014)
Whats going on everybody,
After intensive networking and several interviews, I unfortunately was not able to acquire a summer internship. I am a rising senior at a non-target who is in need of desperate work/internship experience before I graduate in May 2015. I was thinking my next best option was to do a lot of self-studying (tech guides, models, etc) this summer and start looking to secure a winter internship.
What are all yall's thoughts on winter internships. Anyone know of any good ones that would be worth applying to? and if so, when do applications generally open up for these sorts of things.
If it helps, I am a rising senior at a non-target with a 3.5 GPA.

I had a few December-January internships because of sports and off season..but agreed with Pike..you have to network like crazy to get them
so they are not advertised? Because I cannot seem to find anything on those official websites.
