Jane Street Trading Interview Process

Hello,

I'm interested in applying for a trader position at Jane Street's NY office. Yes, I am aware of how incredibly grueling their interview process is, but I just want to try my best, and prepare as much as I can, and who knows what'll happen.

From what I've heard, some people say there are three phone rounds, others say there are five. Also, some people in lieu of getting a first round phone interview got an online test consisting of 4 pretty simple probability questions. What's up with all the inconsistency in the process? Can someone clarify?

Anyone have any recommendations to building the problem-solving and mathematical intuition that Jane Street is looking for? Any advice or insight would be greatly appreciated!

And if there are any traders at Jane Street, people that have been through the process, people that have had friends apply, etc....please feel free to DM me lol. I've scoured the internet for info about this company and there seems to be very little information publicly available aside from glassdoor questions and of course our very own WSO database.
