Janney Montgomery Scott?
Hey Guys,
Anyone ever interview or have any info on Janney? Seems to be a decent size bank in Philly but couldn't find too much info on line. Thanks!

Career Resources
I know them decently well. Biggest bank in Philly and full service, owned by Penn Mutual. Focus on industrials/infrastructure, FIG/RE, and healthcare. A lot of ECM work but some M&A as well. Like most Philly firms in general they typically prefer hiring people with ties to the area who don't seem like they'll jump to NY at the first chance.
Feel free to PM me if you have any specific questions.
What's their rep on the Street? Are they well regarded?
IMO they're strongest in infrastructure (water) and ECM. Beyond that, probably what you'd expect of a regional MM shop.
Yea I hear they are pretty strong in the real estate spectrum too. I'd be interested to see where analysts end up after putting their 2-3 years in. Probably other investment banks I would imagine.
I agree here. The last question I got was, "and so how do you feel about Philadelphia". I responded that it seemed interesting (perhaps with not enough enthusiasm). Responded to my thank you note and all, and seemed impressed, but still didn't get a call back. I guess the Philly thing is important.
Yea I guess finance people typically want to go to NY so perhaps they want to flesh out anyone with other motives lol

Anybody have experience working or interviewing with JMS Equity Research? Wondering how the interview process went for you and would love to hear tips.
