anything that comes out of USC is overhyped. But I guess it is a good pick for the Jets since they need a QB and he was the best QB available at the time of their pick.

You do realize that a QB that never started a game at USC ended up in the top 10 last year for both NFL passer rating and yards thrown.

Granted I don't think Sanchez will be anything special, USC produces talent.

Yah Cassel was great, I'm a Broncos fan so I want to see if our new coach can do with Orton what he did with Cassel.

USC talent has been great, I am just saying there is a lot of premium on all the players that come out of there because of what their predecessors have done.

i just have to get this out of my system, but pats are low down cheating bastards. spygate will taint their championships forever.

on the other hand, great move by the jets, but we will never surely know till dirty sanchez takes the field.

If you don't cheat, you're not trying. And everyone else was doing it, it was just that that bitch Mangina reported it because he couldn't win without being a rat

The kid was absolutely classic. If you haven't guessed from my earlier posts, I'm a pretty die hard Chargers fan (and Saints fan, for that matter). Don't think for a minute the Chargers management didn't know they were drafting a total head case.

Up until draft day, there was all kinds of drama about who was going to go first: Ryan Leaf or Peyton Manning. Indy got first pick, and I knew the Chargers were fucked. Not because I knew Leaf was a head case (that would be revealed over the following months), but I knew he was pretty delicate and played for a half-assed program in college.

The boy didn't disappoint. From his epic meltdowns in front of the press, to his playing street football in front of God and everybody while on the injured reserve list, he checked all the boxes. On top of that, I don't think any rookie quarterback ever came into a less suspicious and more supportive fan base than Ryan Leaf did.

Here's a great 4 and half minute video detailing the epic failure that was Ryan Leaf:

Not to beat a dead horse but, again, mad props to Seau, who was appointed babysitter for this fucking nut case. At 3:01 in the video, you see him pulling Leaf off the reporter he was going off on.

Failure of that scope and magnitude doesn't happen often, and needs to be appreciated when it presents itself.

USC has more players than any other school in the pro football hall of fame. I don't think any serious football fan would deny they consistently produce talented pro players.
