There are a few existing threads on this firm, but none with really any substance. I am curious to know if anyone has any information in terms of their analyst class size, firm culture, compensation, exit opportunities, and general deal flow lately. Thank you in advance.

Very equities focused if I'm not mistaken. I'd say that they're a step below your typical MM firm such as Baird/Piper/Blair... correct me if I'm mistaken however.
Are you talking in NYC or SF, which groups? Smaller MM bank but solid. Mostly equity co managed but some lead as well.
If you could give insight into both the NY and SF offices that would be great- very little available online for either.
Bump...
bump again- any info is appreciated. I'll be interviewing with them next week.
...
Never run into any of their analysts in middle market PE, so can't imagine they place all that well.
Looks like they mainly make their $ co-managing equity offerings which isnt all that hard to do or interesting. Never pitched against them on an M&A deal.

All,
I have a campus interview for an associate position coming up with JMP Securities and was looking for some info on the firm.
1) What are the hours like?
2) What is the compensation like compared to big Investment Banks?
3) Any personal stories?
4) What is the work like and how are the exit opps (if any)?
The interview is for a position at JMP's headquarters in San Francisco.
