JP Morgan Commercial Banking MMBSI Full-Time Analyst

Hi Everyone,

Just recieved a JPM MMBSI Full-Time Analyst 2022 program offer, and could really use some help deciding whether or not to take it. I am graduating from undergrad this summer.

I have around 2 years of internship experience during my undergraduate studies, at a Big 4 in Audit and Canadian IBD middle office, as well as passed CFA L1. My ultimate goal is to work in equities research, or front office at a BB IBD. However, I don't even know if that is something I actually want to do since I dont really have experience in that field. To be completely honest, like many fresh/almost college grads, I am not 100% certain what I want to do.

The JPM offer is for their commercial banking division, and I do know it will be a great experience, whether learning or contributing, but I am wondering if I should accept first, or keep looking for a more ideal first job out of graduation. The comps and the team members I met during the interview process have all be up to par.

Would this opportunitiy be a good place to start my career ? So far this is my only offer on the table, but I am also still interviewing for some Middle Office IBD jobs, but JPM has a 1-week deadline to accept offers...

What’s the offer for this position? Have friends who are in the process as well

Sounds like the offer I accepted with JPM, 2 year analyst program and have to apply for associate position after with no guarantee. Wondering what the rate is for this program

Thanks blue bear for sharing the info

Definitely agree it’s a good start of career, lots of transferable skills, but if bear is interested in equity research, I’ll recommend to keep applying on related roles.

Commercial banking at a BB will open doors within finance. I know people who have done it and gone to IB, ER (this is what I did), S&T, and a number of other corporate roles
