JPMC Launching Leaders Program

I applied for this - when I did, I didn't see any qualifications that say I should be minorities

I did a hirevue and got a superday, so I did some research and all say if I were to apply that specific program, I should be minorities.. Can someone clarify on this?

Also, I am seeing a lot of rising sophomores are applying this as well - but I am a rising junior. This program is for rising juniors as well right? I mean I applied for a summer analyst program in CIB and got a superday for that.. ;;;

What we offer

The Launching Leaders undergraduate program offers students who self-identify as Black, Hispanic and Native American a valuable introduction to a successful career in financial services, along with an award and internship opportunities.

It is front and center on the landing page...Maybe reach out to HR/recruiter?

I mean you're already this far in – what I would be cautious of are background checks (did you check Asian when you filled out the initial form?) Are you comfortable carrying on and being consistent with the narrative that you are hispanic (or something) throughout your SA and beyond (if given offer)? People are conspicuous and any lie sourced from any time will be grounds for rescinding

to add to this person's point: LL is a separate program than that of typical SA 2021 classes – yes, you would be part of SA 2021, but you'd also be a part of LL SA 2021. The program also has a financial award, separate from the bonus, as part of the diversity pipeline (I believe 5-7K for signing on) as well as LL SA 2021 exclusive programs tailored for your background as Black/Hispanic/NA. Point being, they're probably going to do their due diligence later on/people might become curious. If I were in your shoes, I would clarify with HR before possibly falling into trouble later on

what exclusive programs? I networked with LL alumni and they told me there were mentorship programs etc, are you eluding to this? If you were a part of last LL cohorts, could you PM me? I am attending the superday and am from the criteria.

so based on what u said, do people know i applied through the LL program? (other SA gigs and other people at JPMC)

also, when it comes to being part of LL SA 2021, am I treated differently? (i.e. training, networking events, mentorships, etc. - for example, I get to have separate meetings with them specifically, etc.).

also, I don't really need that money;; I just need a damn offer and that's it u feel;;

I definitely checked asian - I wasn't planning to fool the system you feel - I just applied for it cuz when I checked the details, there said nothing about me belonging to those minority groups;;

Ah I see. Not trying to accuse you for intentional dishonesty, but it can be argued that you are now well aware it is a program pointed towards a group you do not fall upon. To answer your previous question (not pointed for me but I'll answer): yes, HR knows you applied through the LL program and throughout your duration for your SA you will be defined within your LL cohort. Which is why this is tricky – what you do is ultimately up to you: you might go through the superday and your SA tenure totally scot free and be okay. Just as likely, HR might alert you of the discrepancy that exists within your profile (as Asian American) and the program you've received offer from. If you are risk adverse, I might suggest you do what @surfer129 is doing and check in with HR. Worse case scenario they tell you that you can't attend the early superday but still allow you to continue through the regular SA pipeline. Good luck

Where is the app to this program? Did you need to apply to the 2021 SA app to get the invite for this? Asking because I am a rising sophomore that did not apply to 2021 SA (bc app said it was for rising juniors) but have been waiting patiently for this program to open apps for the last couple of months.
