Which would have better exit opportunities for PE/HF? I understand the IB has a higher level of prestige, but would doing S&T for JPM/MS/BOFA look better than IB for MM banks with less prestige? (Think HSBC, Nomura, BMO, Scotiabank, Mizuho)

Not sure about the others, but DB and RBC would likely provide better exits to something like PE (likely won’t be MF or UMM, but have solid MM options for good analysts), and I’ve seen many people lateral to EBs and top BBs from these firms.
