Last Shot at IB - Getting on HR's Radar

Quick background about myself: absolute non-target in the South and international who hasn't had the best luck with recruitment for 2021 IB SA (won't elaborate as there have been previous threads about internationals that explain a similar situation I am in). Recently realized and throughout the process that HR has immense power in giving first rounds and making hiring decisions (wish I knew earlier especially coming from a non-target), and with a very few number of banks left with recruiting, I am thinking about reaching out to the HR directly, contacts which I have managed to narrow down based on my best judgement of the information available on LinkedIn and want to ask WSO how I should best approach this. I feel I have nothing to lost at this point and want to somehow get on HR's best side.

Thanks for reading and would love any tips!

same here i realized it super late, i got dinged by 4 firms because of the hr (the interviewers literally emailed me saying I did well). So email the HR saying I spoke to xyz and I am really interested in the position and that you applied

You can rationalize things however you want to, but to be honest, HR doesn't play a big role in any reputable process. You didn't do as well as you thought, and you didn't make the next round because of your own performance. It's not the spooky HR team out to get you. Take some responsibility man
