Do you think a postgraduate (MiM or MFA) at LBS would be useful to breaking into USA job market?
I know LBS reputation is good.
But would like to know your thoughts (considering a lot of people are from USA)
My goal is to live and work in USA (NY, Chicago, Boston, SF etc.) in IBD / PE.

First question, are you american? did you do your undergrad in the US? What kind of work experience / internships do you have? Are you willing to start out in London and transfer 1-2 years later? I think answering those questions are key to figuring out whether LBS is right for you.
But generally speaking, a school reputation is only going to take you so far. US banking recruiting processes are not well set up for students studying outside of the US (unlike say Asia where a significant % of analysts come from US / UK schools) so the logistics of being in London do work against you, especially given the MiM or MFA are 1-year program and recruiting is done in your first month of school. For an American citizen with solid work experience, it shouldn't be too much of a hurdle. For a non-American though, I would recommend studying in the US as the lack of US experience and Visa issues would make it quite challenging to recruit from LBS.

To the point, I'm Eu citizen, no experience in USA unfortunately and no relevant work experience yet. So the MFA/MiM will launch my financial career. Undergrad from a non target Uni in Italy.
US problem about postgraduate: from what I read postgraduate there is useless, majority of students are recruited from their BSc/BBA etc.
Due to this I think I have to target a good MBA maybe, later the MSc. But.. How man lot of money :S
