Leaving first job in less than a year?

This past May I graduated and moved for a job that’s about 5.5 hours away from where I went to school and grew up. Right now I’m working for a F200 Biotech company as a financial analyst. The main reason I took the job is because I come from an ultra non-target. Our career fairs consisted of restaurants looking for servers, and insurance branches. So I was pretty happy when I got the offer and saw they offered more than I was expecting. It was my first offer and I didn’t want to pass it up in fear I wouldn’t get anything else closer to home.

Anyway, I planned to use the move as a fresh start. New friends, new hobbies, travel more, etc. But since I’ve been out here it’s been miserable. I hate the city I’m living in, I haven’t made any friends, and I’m constantly alone. As a result my mental health is pretty much detiorating. My depression is worse than ever, plummeting self esteem, and my anger has gotten so bad it’s scary.

With all that said, I love the job so far though. But I know it’s not healthy for me to be out here anymore. How bad would it be if I left already? I’d really prefer not to leave the position off my resume as I’ve taken on quite a bit of responsibility and developed new skills. On top of that, I’d put my bosses (who’ve been great to me) in a terrible position. This coming week is another guy’s last week and they haven’t even began interviewing yet.

Maybe I just need a kick in the ass or something from the experienced guys on here, but I dont know what to do. I just feel trapped
