Life in Markets and Securities Services
Hey guys, I was reading up on different groups under firms and their institutional groups, and I was wondering, as someone new to the world of finance, what life is like in this field at a BB.
Is markets and securities the same as sales and trading?
How are the hours compared to normal IB?
What's the salary like?
In general, what's the difference between a "Markets Analyst" and an "Investment Banking Analyst"?
Sorry for my noobishness. Cheers.
To be honest, sounds like a BO or MO role trying to be intentionally vague to spark questions like this.
Why not just say “analyst” and then the group that you’re in? I say “you” as a general second person.
Idk if this answers your question but I'm pretty sure Citi's S&T division is called Markets and Securities Services
