I will be continuing my education near Fairfield, CT this upcoming fall and I was wondering if anyone knew of any broker/dealers with a particularly renowned trading department. I am interested in sales & trading and would love to know if anyone knew any great firms to look for an internshio?

I'd just suck it up and go to NYC, so many more opportunities. CT will have PWM and HF mostly. I'll tag @"Dingdong08" though, I think he lives in/is familiar with Fairfield.
Unfortunately I'm not in Fairfied Co. but there are tons of hedge funds you can hit up there. Check out Greenwich. And because they're not in the city I'd guess, but don't know for sure, that they're a bit off the beaten track for internships during the year.
So do you think I would have better luck/opportunities looking in the Greenwich/NYC area?
Fairfield is only a few towns away from Greenwich although traffic on 95 is a bitch. Stamford has some firms also. I don't know if it's still there but UBS used to have a massive trading floor in Stamford. There's obviously more in NYC itself but that's a pretty long and expensive commute if you're a student and trying to do internships during the year. If you're thinking about an internship for next summer, just do NYC.
UBS is still there but most traders are now out of NYC. RBS is still there. I also know of a few smaller shops in Stamford and west port
