Low-Tier BB Sophomore Internship Upwards Mobility for Junior Year?

Think UBS/DB/WF. If I intern in IB at one of these banks, will I still be considered by GS/MS/JPM and the EB's, considering I go to a target, have the great resume and GPA, and etc? I feel like for BB's, it might be tough if I'm interviewing sophomore spring and I haven't even given my UBS/DB group a chance and I'm already looking to leave. Looks weird ya know.

Also side question, like everyone else, I'm really interested in the buyside, and would rather go there instead of IB out of undergrad. I do go to a target and my school has fantastic sophomore buyside opportunities, but they usually come out a few months later, in the winter. Is it worth keeping the bird in the hand (UBS/DB) for two in the bush (MM/UMM PE). I'm worried because the people who get the MF internships junior year are the ones who did buyside sophomore as well. I'm worried that doing IBD sophomore year would hurt me in this regard.
