LSE Students/Alum

Hello all,

I am going to be studying at the LSE next year as part of a year-long study abroad program (General Course). I am in the Economics Department and I was wondering if someone who has studied there or is studying there can offer me some advice on courses. Particularly, I am looking for some courses that are not too high math intensive (i.e., requiring linear algebra, etc.).

Can someone shed some light?

Also, are there any good classes for trading and/or banking?

Thank you.

Although I don't have any specific recommendations, I can offer you this piece of advice, stay a way from Econometrics! I knew several GC kids who weren't able to even muster a Third on the exam.

In general, every course at the LSE is fairly mathsy, so you may be in for a bit of a shock. For example, my Organisational Theory and Behaviour class had a mathematical aspect to it.

I wish I could offer you some specific advice but all of my courses were math focused.

Best of luck and enjoy The LSE.
