Meaningless Market Updates at Coverage Groups
Not sure if this is a "my group" thing or "coverage group" thing. I spend ~40% of time creating market update slides, industry analysis or a sector or sub-sectors, company-specific analysis, etc.
I often find them to be completely meaningless. Management probably won't spend more than 5 minutes skimming through that 30 or 40 page deck. Putting that company in or leave it out doesn't matter.
Plus, I get paid like Duff & Phelps people (shyt), like a wso buddy posted recently.
