Milestone Advisors/DC Banking in general
I was just wondering if anyone had any idea about this company or about banking in DC in general. Unlike a lot of people on WSO I would actually prefer to stay in the mid-atlantic after I graduate this May. Not exactly a haven for finance though.
DC has a few good middle market banks in the region: Jefferies, HL, Lazard Middle Market, BB&T, Harris Williams. Any of those will give good experience. DC is a helluva lot different than NY, though, as I'm sure you know.
no clue about that company but DC area is terrible for finance. i like the area too but it will hurt your career options
PM me I am familiar with Milestone.
I would agree with Margin, you typically don't want to go to Chicago, St Louis, or D.C. for IBD. All roads point to NYC with the exception of specialty locations like Houston for energy/nat resources.
I appreciate the advice, but I think a lot of it is missing the mark really (this is my fault because I didn't really put things in context.)
I don't really expect to stay in IBD long term and I never plan on going to business school. So exit opps, traditionally construed, aren't really a factor for me. I just want to make a decent salary for 2 years.

Anyone know much about Milestone Advisors in Washington, DC? They are ranked #1 in Specialty Finance but I don't know a whole lot about them.
